In December 16 this year at the University of Economics in Poznan - the third open meeting of the project Open Code Transfer. This is an opportunity to expand knowledge about the instruments of transfer.

The reform of the science sector is clearly moving towards commercialization of knowledge and technologies generated in research units. The reform of the science sector is clearly moving towards commercialization of knowledge and technologies generated in research units. The tasks of teaching and research, however, often are so absorbing that they lack time for reflection on how to organize an effective system of technology transfer. This meeting is intended to fill this gap and show the most interesting examples and good practices from the world and possible solutions for the science-business ecosystem in Wielkopolska.

Although universities have already taken many tasks associated with the commercialization of lack of good practices and solutions. At the Third Meeting of the open we want to show the possible mechanisms of licensing, which can operate without too much effort and accurately characterize the possibilities offered by the new provisions of the Act on Higher Education. Such important issues as the formation of the royalties, the creation of technology transfer centers, special purpose vehicles for the commercialization and tax considerations associated with VAT may even prove to be crucial in the organization of the technology transfer process. For these problems, we want to look through the lens of research and economic knowledge.

We firmly believe that through this in a few years in Wielkopolska there is going to be a sort of market value of intangible assets - the market value where you can buy the right to the solution, know-how, industrial design or a patent or a license to use the technology. The experience of companies operating in the global market show that it is one of the key elements of building competitive advantage for businesses.

The organizers wish to invite all those who are interested in increasing the effectiveness of the processes of knowledge and technology commercialization in Wielkopolska. Each voice in the debate may affect the final shape of the model built up for the research units of Wielkopolska and companies interested in implementing new solutions based on external sources. Admission is free, although the number of available space is limited.
